Before heading off to Coachella last weekend, the awesomely fun and talented Passion Pit made an appearance at Club Nokia on Thursday night. I got my sister and I tickets for her birthday last month and we had a blast! Sending more love to Boston as these adorkable boys hail from the beautiful city.

Love & Prayers for Boston
I have no words when it comes to the cruelties of this world, but Boston is one of my very favorite cities and yesterday's horrible events pull tightly at my heart strings. My short time spent there was filled with beauty, happiness, and love. The people are quick to welcome you to the place they are so proud to call their home. They are happy to help when you get yourself lost in Boston Common or when you can't figure out which train to take. I wish with every bone in my body I could be back in the city now, taking part in what I'm sure will become an out poor of love, camaraderie, and support.
My love and prayers are with the beautiful city of Boston where I left my heart almost one year ago.

Style Inspiration - Mad Men
I may have spent this last Sunday lying in bed with a bag of Easter candy, alternating between naps and episodes of Mad Men on my trusty Netflix. I don’t know about you, but I would call this a pretty successful day. I was up way too late on both Friday and Saturday night so there really wasn’t much hope in accomplishing anything productive. However, I could argue that nearly catching up to the current season of Mad Men is productive!
I find that when I watch this show, I spend the next several days daydreaming about what my closet would look like if I worked in the offices of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. What I wouldn’t give to be Joan Harris, just for a day! And how amazing would it be to see Don Draper in a fitted suit cruising by my cubicle. Even though these fashions are coming back into style, I still think I would look a little out of place if I wore them in my mostly-casual office.
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Mad Men inspired outfits below.

Who, Me?
Writing about my dating antics is a fairly new hobby for me. I'm still getting over the shock that people think I'm funny. I love being featured on my beautiful friend Summer's website More Design Please and hope that I continue to find inspiration for my writings! As long as there are bad dates, boyfriend woes, and embarassing moments, I'm sure I'll have nothing to worry about.
I was so excited when another one of my lovely and talented friends (I do have many) emailed me about her newest endeavor. She knows I've dabbled in the world of online dating and asked me to share some of my stories for a webseries she's creating! I told her yes, of course...I just hope my stories are interesting enough. I'm meeting up with her today and can't wait to share more updates as they come up.

Weekend Yoga Retreat
Can I please go back to Ojai? I had the most amazing time on my yoga retreat last weekend. I felt relaxed and rejuvinated...that is until I came back to work on Monday. Sigh...I guess there's always next year!
Thank you to our fearless leaders, Billy and Ashley!

Notes for My Future Husband
I know that I am nowhere near having a husband, but I thought that for his sake, whoever he may be, I should probably start taking down some notes that could be of use to him one day. I like to think that I am a pretty level headed person who doesn’t lose their cool all that often. However, I am a woman which means I’m still susceptible to bouts of “cray cray”.
I don’t have a list of perfect traits for a husband hidden away in a frilly decoupage box on the top shelf of my closet, but I do like to think that he’ll be the kind of man who plans ahead. And I’m not talking about booking a romantic getaway just because, or sending me to the spa when I’ve had a stressful week. Those things sound amazing and I would be grateful, but I’m talking about an entirely different beast.
A man will never truly comprehend what happens to a woman when she’s being visited by Aunt Flo. We just want to cuddle, then we want you the hell out of the house, and then we want a pint of Ben & Jerry’s and a bottle of wine! Sometimes there is no “right thing” that can be done…the poor bastards. This is where The Period Store comes into the picture.
Created by angles from above, Ashley and Rubi, The Period Store is a delivery service for that time of the month. The package choices are fun, adorable, and affordable. The Treats package includes chocolate, an inspirational art print, meds, and tea for only $15 a month. Or you can choose to include one, two, or three products (tampons, pads, sea sponges, etc.) in addition to your treats for $20-$30 and the shipping is always free! Any quick thinking man will realize this saves him from the awkwardness of standing in line at CVS with a box of tampons and a case of beer as a diversion.
Although this might take a little bit of detective work done by my future husband, as you also need to tell them when you are expecting your cycle, if he’s smart, he’ll recruit my sister to obtain such classified information. What a happy wife my hubby will have when I’m surprised by a mysterious package at the doorstep full of glorious amenities! And if he is really good, he’ll also bump that chick flick he’s been secretly demoting up to the top of the Netflix queue just in time for my Friday night on the couch. Love you, honey!
